Music & Medicine

Young man standing against a textured wall, holding a violin.

About Me

Hi, I’m Victor Hsu. I’m a senior at the Bergen County Academies in New Jersey and a violinist at Juilliard Pre-College, where I study with Professor Masao Kawasaki. Music has been part of my life for as long as I can remember, from chamber music with friends to performances at venues like Carnegie Hall and Alice Tully Hall.

Beyond performance, I work towards using music to support community well-being. I lead arts and public-health initiatives that bring creative programming to hospitals, nursing homes, shelters, and student communities around the world. I’m especially interested in the intersection of music and medicine. My goal is to help make care more accessible to every community using the power of music.
